In order to better serve the carbon industry and extend the service life and decrease the energy consumption of the carbon furnace, our company designed the alumina hollow spheres castable which can be used for connecting the fire tunnel of the furnace. The alumina hollow sphere with low thermal conductivity (0.65 0.8 W/m.k.350 25 ) can significantly lower the temperature in the tunnel when used in the fire tunnel with the andalusite and mullite which can increase the thermal shock resistance and refractoriness under load, thus the service life of the furnace lining can be significantly extended. The castable with good flowability is suitable for constructing the irregular shaped trenches.
