Shougang Corporation is the parent company, and its subsidiaries include overseas companies such as Xingang, Jingtang, Qiangang, Shouqin, Changzhi, Tonggang, high-tech, electromechanical, etc. In order to implement the scientific development concept, based on the overall development status of China's steel industry, in February 2005, the National Development and Reform Commission officially approved the plan of Shougang to move Caofeidian. Shougang will complete the relocation in 2010. On January 13, 2011, Shougang was awarded the "Merritious Shougang" commemorative plaque at the main process shutdown ceremony of Beijing Shijingshan Iron & Steel. On the same day, Shougang Beijing Shijingshan Iron and Steel's main process shutdown ceremony was held.
In August 2016, Shougang Corporation ranked 112th in the "2016 Top 500 Chinese Enterprises". Ranked 431 on the Fortune Global 500 list in 2018.
